Is Fear Holding You Back?

We talk quite a bit about the brain’s main job being to keep us safe. Now it doesn’t know the difference from an uncomfortable situation like starting a new health and fitness routine or if it’s being chased by a saber tooth tiger. It’s programmed to make decisions to get us out of that situation no matter what.

That’s why sooo many people talk themselves out of such a great opportunity like starting a new health program and sticking to it. A program that will improve their overall quality of life and keep them doing thighs they love for a very long time.

It doesn’t oesn’t make sense right? If someone asked you “Do you want better health and do you want to be able to do the things you love well into your 90s?” That should be a no brainer. So why would the brain be afraid of that?

Well cause this day in age we have become accustomed to comfort, convenience, the easiest road possible, and instant gratification. When it comes to taking our health back none of those things go hand in hand.

The brain finds a way to drag us right back into our comfort zone. That little voice tells us, “that’s too expensive”, “I’m too old for that”, “I don’t have time for that”, “I’ll start that after I finish (insert excuse here).

That “comfort zone” will be the death of us. Nothing good comes out of living in the “safe” spot. No growth, no learning, just stuck and filled with wishes that don’t come true.

I highly recommend silencing that little voice every so often. It will open up doors you never thought possible. Relationships get stronger, Careers improve and get better, health improves, and quality of life just gets so much better when we challenge ourselves.

If you continue to find yourself settling in that comfort zone, please reach out. Sometimes all you need is a little guidance, support, and accountability from someone that has gone through the struggle. Someone that truly cares about your success, but will also give you a little kick in the butt when needed. Ready to step outside that comfort zone just click HERE. We can help!
