INVEST IN YOUR HEALTH

By Coach Marcel Mandagaran

There’s been a heated debate for a long time in the health and wellness industry.  Being sick with a chronic disease, is expensive.  Personal Training fees and eating clean is expensive. Hmm—which path to choose… Seriously?!

With all the medications and Dr. visits, the bills stack up—yeah pretty expensive.  And if you don’t actually CURE the problem, it only gets MORE expensive. People are basically paying their way to a slow numbing death.  And on the other hand, people also argue that buying healthy organic groceries and hiring fitness trainers are also expensive. Bills are inevitable, it’s been that way for centuries—trades of goods and service, right?  There are two ways of existing on Earth, we are living and thriving or sick and slowly dying. Either way, we invest in our lives somehow…  So, the question is… how are we investing in our lives—in wellness or in sickness?

We have been in the fitness industry for 15 years now. One of the most common objections we hear is the famous “Wow that’s a lot more expensive than what I thought”, and we get it. Everyone has struggled with money at some point in their life. I know we have.

The ironic thing is, when people are either diagnosed with an illness or notice they are way over weight, that’s when they start shopping around for a lifestyle change.  But the problem is, they wanna pay for the cheap routes, like internet fads and monthly gym memberships without efficient training methods, only later to be disappointed. So, in reality these people are spending the money anyway but aren’t seeing the results. Not only are they spending money but they’re wasting both their money and their time. If people would just invest in their health with a great program, and the right certified Nutrition experts, they would start seeing results almost immediately. I guarantee, after that first session, they would feel so much better.

There’s a reason Personal Training prices are much higher than monthly gym access fees, or some $50 Beach Body diet off the internet… BECAUSE IT WORKS! I’ve always believed the old saying “you get what you pay for”.  We charge what we charge, because we actually care about bettering the lives of people. That’s why we have spent a lot of our own time and money educating ourselves to help others. We’ve spent countless hours learning, (reading, podcast, school work, studying for exams, trial and error, on the job training) to find the best ways possible to help people achieve their health and fitness goals. And after 15 years I am 100% positive we have found, and I quote Greg Glassman “an elegant solution to the world’s most vexing problem, so elegant that it might be optimal”.

I know we probably sound like a broken record but 70% of people die from chronic disease, most of these diseases are preventable just by moving correctly and eating properly.  There is a HUGE need for helping turn that daunting epidemic around and we are to do just that.

We know people are tired of having no energy, not sleeping well, being overweight, self-conscious of their body, having high blood pressure, pre-diabetic, diabetic, the list could go on and on. The solution is simple, INVEST IN YOUR HEALTH. You have to invest in the medications to put a band-aid on your health problems, right? Why not cure all your health problems? Quit wasting money on programs that don’t work, and I know I’m going to offend some people but it’s worth recommending to lay off the daily Venti Vanilla/Carmel Frappuccino’s from Starbucks. First off, the 91g of sugar (that’s 23 teaspoons of white table sugar by the way) is making you very sick. Secondly, the $5 per day you spend on them, would cover the majority of your gym membership. No joke—do the math!

Overall, either way, the money is going to spent somewhere in the health and wellness industry.  We can argue, while Personal Training fees and eating healthy can be a little expensive, but it’s worth it in the long run—people can enjoy their lives and keep those heart-attacks away.  Also, not only is the sick route REALLY expensive, it also sucks the joy out of life and can affect your overall lifestyle for the worst.  So, again, the question is, what path are you investing in—the healthy route or the sick route?
