Journey To Total Health

This subject can get a little touchy, but I ask you listen with an open mind and an open heart. Nobody likes to hear that they are not seeing results because of the way they are eating. I mean when you come to the gym 4-5 days per week and bust your ass, that has to be enough to see results right…?
WRONG!
Nutrition is such a big part of health that if for some odd reason you had to choose between Eating healthy or exercising, we as coaches would alwaysput eating right first. I mean there’s a reason the first 26 words in Greg Glassmans 100 words of fitness are about nutrition. There’s also undoubtedly a valuable reason why Nutrition is the foundation of the CrossFit pyramid— because if we don’t get our nutrition on track, everything else comes crashing down.
It’s difficult for us coaches to see people showing up to the gym consistently, giving everything they have, sweating like crazy, enduring the wonderful pain of these Metcons and still seeing very little progress. It’s our job to make sure you are doing things right and continuing to improve your health and fitness. We have been doing this for quite awhile and we can easily see if people are doing the right things not only inside the gym but also when they leave. It’s not rocket science. If you train 4-5 days per week and keep the intensity high, as long as you are eating right, YOU WILL SEE RESULTS! On the flip side of that, you will NOT out train your bad eating habits. You can kill yourself everyday in the gym and believe me those processed carbs will always be faster than you.
So what do we do? …. UH– GET HELP!
We are equipped to help you. That’s why we have a Nutrition Coach. That’s why we do these health seminars and put on Nutrition Challenges. It is our mission to educate you on how to do things properly so we can break this horrible epidemic of 70% of deaths being caused by very preventable chronic disease. We want you to take the information you learn and teach your kids, the rest of your family and friends.
I know everyone thinks, “Oh I don’t need help with my nutrition, I’ll just get on the Internet and figure it out by myself”. Or the classic, “My friend lost a bunch of weight, I’ll just do what they did”. Well let me give you some advice, you will come out of DIY diet Internet Wikipedia research and be more confused than ever. “What’s this Paleo? Oh, this keto diet sounds good. Macro counting, that’s easy right? Maybe ill just fast for 18 hours per day.”
It’s too complex and everyone is too different, not to mention all the corruption that is out there trying to keep you hooked on processed carbs and sugars so they can make millions off of people getting sick.
So, perhaps, instead of wasting time, get the help now. Imagine this, for the next year or two; you try to do things on your own. Finally after 2 years, you give in. “OK, this isn’t working and I still look the same as I did 2 years ago. I guess I’ll get some help.” Not only did you waste money but also you wasted precious time. Imagine if you would’ve got the help you needed right away. You would be blown away with the results you could have seen in 2 years, hell in 3 months. This is your health people. It’s not a waste of money. It’s an investment in your self. You only get ONE Life and your body is your ONE vehicle in which you get to live it. Why, wouldn’t you take care of it?
The science is real, you’re either sugar burning, over shooting your Macro calorie needs, or both. Don’t believe me? Check out links below for further explanation of Sugar burning. JJ Virgin dedicates her life on this subject alone.
