The Mystery Of Losing Weight
We’ve spoken to a lot of people that say “I’ve tried everything” and They still can’t lose weight.
Losing weight and improving health is simple but very difficult. Simple because the steps needed to lose weight are easy, Difficult because these same steps require Accountability, Sacrifice, and Will Power.
So today I’m going to give you the answers to the test:
Answer No.1- Cut out Sugar! Sugar causes weight gain and the majority of chronic disease we see today. Here is a list of foods that are high in sugar or turn into sugar inside the body after we digest it.
- Any sugar or artificial sweetener (cane sugar, fructose, honey, maple syrup, splenda, stevia, etc..)
- All soda or diet soda
- All juice or “no sugar” juice or 100% “real fruit juice”
- Bread
- Pasta
- Cereal
- White rice
- Potatoes
- Tortillas
- Anything made with flour
- Condiments (barbecue sauce, ketchup, teriyaki sauce etc)
- muffins
- bagels
- cake
- candy
Easy Right? If you Don’t eat those foods, you don’t gain weight or develop chronic disease.
Difficult Right? Those are all our favorite foods we love to eat and are probably addicted to.
Answer No. 2- Eat Protein with every meal– Protein Increases metabolism and builds muscle. Metabolism burns fat. More muscle you have, more fat body burns. Here is list of proteins:
- Eggs
- Beef
- Chicken
- Fish
- Sea food
- Ground Beef
- Ground Turkey
- Tofu
- Lentils
- Quinoa
- Beans
Easy Right? Eat those foods, burn fat and gain muscle
Hard Right? We have to stop our busy schedule and prepare these foods.
Answer No. 3- Eat enough Food- Majority of people we take on as clients do NOT eat enough. Crazy right? How can you not eat enough and still gain weight? Well the body is a very efficient piece of machinery. If you don’t give it enough fuel, metabolism (remember, this is what burns fat) will drop to match amount of calories coming in. So when this happens, the body is good at storing energy (Fat) instead of burning it because it doesn’t know when it is going to get more fuel.
Easy Right? Eat more food, increase metabolism, burn fat.
Hard right? Again taking time from our busy schedule to prepare all this food, and knowing which food is going to be burned as fuel and which foods are going to be stored as fat.
So now you can see, why losing weight is simple but also very difficult.
